No Sleep Till Brooklyn!
Want to know where the Welcome back Kotter Brooklyn sign is now? Carlo knows. On last week’s show, we had the good fortune of having Carlo Scissura, the President of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce on. We agreed how Brooklyn has become an international destination to live, work and visit. Carlo also discussed the idea of an innovation corridor of tech & new economy businesses along the N/R line. Look out Chelsea & Flatiron, Brooklyn is the place to be for tech start ups! Listen here.
And if you are stuck on where to buy or eat in Brooklyn, Catherine is your woman.
Catherine Witherwax, the smart & charming manager of Stribling’s Brooklyn office spoke about how Brooklyn has so much to offer for anyone looking to buy a home in many of the changing neighborhoods of Red Hook, Sunset Park and other prime areas of the ever more popular borough. Catherine also spoke about the changing landscape in residential & commercial development. We do agree with Catherine, Brooklyn has some of the best restaurants and entertainment. Go eat some lobster rolls in Red Hook, visit the Botanical Gardens or Brooklyn Museum of Art. Take in a concert at Brooklyn Bowl after eating delicious BBQ at Mabel’s in Williamsburg, after looking at exquisite townhouses in Clinton Hill.

Breaking the Cycle of Homelessness
We were also joined by Christine C. Quinn, the new President & CEO of WIN NY. WIN is the largest homeless services organization helping women & children in need.
Chris made the very often ignored point, that most homeless women are working and a large number of New Yorkers living without a home are children. We all need to work hard to solve this not intractable challenge in our great city. No one should be homeless. Listen here.
Entertainers & Pop Culture Experts
Other interviews included famous actor and former Brooklynite, Tony LoBianco and professor, author & pop culture connoisseur Glenn Altschuler . Listen now! and here!
